Ryla 26-27 October 2013

The International leadership Awards RYLA took place once again in Rhodes on October 26-27 2013. It has been organized by our District 2470 and hosted by our Club. Participants came from Turkey, Belgium, France, Portugal and Greece, totalling 25 people.

RYLA is a leadership development program run by Rotary. While participants can be any age, most events focus on secondary school students, university students, or young professionals. RYLA events are typically 3–10 days long and include presentations, activities, and workshops that cover a variety of topics, including:

  • Leadership fundamentals and ethics
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and conflict management
  • Community and global citizenship

The program attended Kosmas Houtouriadis our district governor.

We would like to thank rotarian Manolis Zannis who has been the head of the organization committee on behalf of our club, our club’s vicepresident Kiriakos Kiriakoulis who has generously hosted the seminars in the premises of the Rhodes Private School, assistant governor Ippokratis Kazoulakis, our sergeant-at-arms Pavlos Papageorgopoulos and the president of Rotaract Ms Mary Agiakatsika.
